The Night Before:
Option 1: Easy Trekking: Sapa – Cat Cat – Ta Phin Cave / Lao Chai - Ta Van 
Transfer from your hotel to the Hanoi Train Station for boarding at 9:30 pm. You will be in shared A/C sleeper cabins of 4 berths to travel North to Lao Cai town.
Day 1: Lao Cai - Sapa – Cat Cat Village - Ta Phin Cave (B, L, D)
Arrive at Lao Cai Train station at about 6.30, welcome by our local guide and take a ride to Sapa. Have breakfast and relax before exploring Sapa Town. In the afternoon, take a 2km trek to Cat Cat Village, home of H'mong Ethnics. Meet & talk with locals to learn more about their daily life. Then continue the ride to Ta phin village (12km from Sapa) home to the Red Dzao minority. Visit Ta Phin Cave, Ta Phin handicraft shops and explore the daily life of Red Dzao. Here you have good choice to buy woven and textile brocades, which are hand made by ethnic people. Visit a small hamlet of Black H'mong people here too.

Day 2: Lao Chai - Ta Van Village - Lao Cai (B, L).

After breakfast you check out and leave your luggage in the hotel, get ready for the trip. Trek down to Lao Chai village to visit the Tay and Day tribes then keep going along the bottom of the Sapa valley to get to Ta Van village, which is supposed to be the most beautiful one in the area. Have a picnic lunch on the way. You go back to Sapa by motorbike/jeep. Get yourself fresh with a shower in the hotel's day room before transfer down to Lao Cai Station for the night train LC2 back to Hanoi.
Day 3: Arrive Hanoi

Tour end at Hanoi train station about 5h00 am. Please find your own way to your hotel, a taxi normally costs you a set of 50,000 VND (2-3 usd)

Transfer from your hotel to the Hanoi rainway Station for boarding at 9:30 pm. You will be in shared A/C sleeper cabins of 4 (6) to travel North to Lao Cai town. .

Day 1: Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai - Sapa (B, L, D).

The train arrives in Lao Cai at about 6:30 am where your OPENTOUR guide will welcome you. Then take a morning drive through the clouds by car / van to Sapa (about 1.5 hours). Check-in hotel. Breakfast then start the tour with 6 km transferred by jeep then walk on 2 km down to Lao Chai village, and close Ta Van village of the Dzay minority. Lunch at a local family in Ta Van, all for you to discover their daily life, works and special custom, enjoy landscapes… Continue after through bamboo forest to Giang Ta Chai village of the red Dzao, visit a wonderful waterfall & a suspension rattan bridge on the way to the main road for a jeep to return to Sapa. Day 2: Cat Cat & Sin Chai (B, L, D).

A walk down to the South-west of Sapa (around 4 km) to visit Cat Cat village of the Black H’mong. Relax at the food of the stunning waterfall and the vestige of a hydroelectric power station that was constructed by the French during the colonial time in Vietnam. Enjoy picnic lunch by the side of the river, and then next 6 km to Sin Chai, the village located at the foot of Fansipan Mountain, “the roof of Vietnam and Indochina”. From here you can enjoy huge stunning landscapes before climbing up on the way a jeep to return to Sapa. Bus to Lao Cai Station to get night train back to Hanoi. .

5km by jeep, visit the red Dzao in Suoi Thau, Ma Tra villages. 9km trekking through the forest. Picnic lunch en –route. Reach Ta Phin village where we have chance to learn about the life styles and the custom of the red Dzao minority, enjoy landscapes…then drive back to Sapa.

Day 1: Bac Ha market (on Sunday only) (B, L, D)

Located at 110km from Sapa, Bac Ha mountain town is well-known by travelers with the most colorful market of the hill tribes in the North of Vietnam. This every-Sunday-market attended by at least 8 ethnic groups and last from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM. It is also chance for tourists to discover the H’mong King’s palace (old building built by the French & Chinese).
In the afternoon, we go for a light trek to visit Ban Pho, the village is home to flower H’mong minority. We are invited to enter several local houses to have some green tea, corn wine, listen to the host talking about their family, talk to them… and then enjoy landscapes on a roundabout way to Bac Ha for get back to Lao Cai to catch the train or continue up to Sapa (two solutions for travelers). Check in hotel, have dinner, O/N at the hotel in Sapa

6km of walking down to the south east of Sapa along the side of Muong Hoa valley to Y Linh Ho village of the Black H’mong. A 2km-trekking down to Lao Chai village, through terraced rice fields to Ta Van village of the Dzay minority people. Lunch at a local family, it gives you a worth chance for you to learn about the local house architecture which is full of their daily life styles and exclusive custom. Enjoy the landscapes…on the way. Get back to Sapa by jeep or motorbike. Bus to Lao Cai Station to get night train back to Hanoi.
